The Blue Mountains District of the Rural Fire Service encourages all people in fire prone areas to develop a Bush Fire Survival Plan.
The District provides a Bush Fire Survival Plan and a Bush Fire Household Assessment Tool and a number of videos with Bush Fire Survival Information.
Remember to complete your Bush Fire Survival Plan to ensure that you and your family are prepared and know what to do in the event of a bush fire. Include in your plan locations which you consider a place of last resort during a bush fire emergency. These can be identified with neighbours, during Brigade Street Meetings, but they will vary depending on the nature and direction of any fire. So you should identify several cleared sites so you can choose a suitable one if a place of last resort is needed.
